Cardiff Camera Club is pleased to present award winning professional wildlife photographer and conservationist Andy Rouse who is bringing his hugely successful 10th anniversary show to Cardiff.
The show will be held at the spectacular Reardon Smith Theatre, part of the National Museum and Gallery, on Sunday 14th March 2010 at 2:00pm
Rouse turned professional in July 1999 after a successful career as an IT consultant. Since then he has appeared in his own TV series Wildlife Photographer, made numerous other appearances on TV, won 7 BBC Awards in 5 years, 3 Nature’s Best awards and 3 European Wildlife Photographer of the Year awards. His iconic images continue to sell worldwide and he has lectured far and wide to thousands of photographers and naturalists and regular readers of Amateur Photographer wont have missed his front cover image and multi-page spread in the Christmas edition.
As a serious conservationist Rouse has started his own conservation fund in partnership with Paramo Directional Clothing Systems that makes donations from their own profits. In partnership with the UN he has recently released the Generations limited edition print where 100% of the proceeds goes to gorilla conservation. Please note that the show might have jokes of an adult nature so will not be suitable for young children or adults that take it all too seriously.
This is not a serious technical talk on photography but a show suitable for animal lovers, long suffering partners and photographers, or people who just like a good laugh. In short it will be an inspiring and action packed afternoon. Tickets are already selling fast and are EXCLUSIVELYavailable from the Cardiff Camera Club website www.cardiffcameraclub.co.uk priced at £12.50 each.
The closing date for entries is Sunday 14th March and judging will take place in April 2010. Full details of the competition and a printable entry form can be found on the club website:
