WELSH SALON 2010

The venue for the Welsh Salon Exhibition has been changed to THE GRAND THEATRE, SINGLETON STREET, SWANSEA, the reason being that the Welsh Assembly has not been able to confirm dates to us for the use of the Pierhead Building, Cardiff Bay.

As entry forms have to be sent out to all clubs this week with details of the Exhibition, we had no choice but to move to another venue.

The exhibition will now be held from Saturday 3rd April to Thursday 29th April 2010 with the Official Opening and Presentation of Awards commencing at  2.p.m. on Saturday 10th April . The official opener is to be advised.

The venue is open Monday — Saturday from 9.30 a.m and until 10 p.m. (when there is a show). You may wish to telephone the theatre on 01792 475242 to check availability, if you plan to visit in the evening. Admission to the exhibition is free.

The closing date for entry is, as always, the date of the Annual General Meeting, 7th March 2010, where entries will be accepted. Selection dates are 20th/21st March 2010.

Clubs will be notified of acceptances via snail mail by 31st March 2010 and acceptances will also be posted on the website as soon as possible.

Bringing the date of the exhibition forward will bring its own problems in having less time to prepare the catalogue for April 3rd, but every effort will be made to achieve this.

Paperwork for the Welsh Salon 2010 will be sent out to the clubs in due course.

The selectors for this year’s Salon are:
Glyn Edmunds ARPS,DPAGB,EFIAP/b (Southern P F)
